A leading contracting company is seeking a Site Engineer specializing in refurbishment to work on a prestigious hotel project in Kuwait for a duration of 3 months. Candidates must have practical experience in executing and overseeing refurbishment works on-site, not in interior design.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee the terms of architectural refurbishments from subcontractors.
- Limit the remaining works and monitor their execution according to the established plans and specifications.
- Follow up and close consultant, owner, and contractor observations and the Snag List.
- Coordinate between refurbishment works and MEP works to manage site conflicts.
- Inspect the quality of executed works and ensure their readiness for final handover.
- Prepare and monitor requests for inspection and handover WIR/MIR.
- Monitor repair and replacement works and close out defective or non-compliant items.
- Prepare and update reports on remaining works, observations, and completion rates.
- Prepare and compile final handover documents for the project, including As-Built drawings, O&M Manuals, warranties, and test results.
- Coordinate with the consultant, owner, and subcontractors until final handover and project closure.
Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
- Practical experience in executing and overseeing refurbishment works on-site.
- Previous experience in hotel projects or large-scale projects is preferred.
- Good experience in project delivery and closure phases.
- Proficient in reading drawings and technical details and quantifying materials.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage and monitor subcontractors and fieldwork.
- Must be currently residing in Kuwait and able to start work immediately.
