We are seeking an experienced Crane Specialist with strong expertise in mobile and crawler cranes, troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning, and inspection activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognized qualification from a trade school, technical college, or university in Mechanical Engineering and/or a related discipline with an Electrical/Electronic component.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Service Engineer, Superintendent, or similar role with a crane manufacturer, authorized dealership, or major crane rental company.
- Good command of the English language.
- Experience with different types and brands of mobile and crawler cranes.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of manual and electronic crane control systems, including LMI setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Experience in assembling, commissioning, and testing large crawler cranes.
- Ability to read and interpret crane load charts.
- Ability to review crane rigging studies and advise on lifting requirements.
- Familiarity with crane operations, rigging practices, load management, and safety regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble, dismantle, and reconfigure crawler and mobile cranes.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of wire ropes, hoists, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, safety devices, and structural components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Identify and order required spare parts.
- Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training when required.
- Support other Plant Department activities as needed.
- Maintain a professional and respectful approach with all personnel.
