Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers at Tutor with Preply is a part-time, remote role focused on supporting and organizing volunteer tutors within the Preply community. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating volunteer tutors, ensuring they have clear expectations, guidelines, and access to training resources. The coordinator will maintain regular communication with volunteers, address questions, and provide ongoing support to help them contribute effectively to learner success. Daily tasks include scheduling and tracking volunteer activities, facilitating virtual orientations or group meetings, and collaborating with internal teams to align volunteer efforts with program goals. The role also includes monitoring volunteer engagement, recognizing contributions, and recommending improvements to enhance the overall volunteer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse volunteers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in volunteer training and volunteer management to coordinate and support volunteer activities.
• Skills in community outreach and relationship building to engage new volunteers and strengthen the volunteer network.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle scheduling, record-keeping, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Comfort working in a remote, digital environment, including proficiency with online collaboration tools and virtual meeting platforms.
• Prior experience in education, non-profit, community programs, or online tutoring environments is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic global marketplace.
